Minecraft Anyone?

I think everyone knows what Minecraft is. If you don't here is a video demonstrating some of the things you can do.



I know Alan has a list of people who are interested and are willing to spend time on a group project though our own server.

I played the original Minceraft (no, that's not a typo...) back before any actual mining had to be done, per se.

I'd be willing to pick it up again, however.

All I ever did was make a bunch of 8bit art, mind you...There's some photos on my Facebook.

We are currently working on getting a server setup, chances are it will be run from my computer so it should be relatively stable.

Sounds good! Look forward to it! I haven't played it a lot so still have some things to figure out, but MinecraftWiki is my friend.

Right I have no idea how well this server is going to run so this is literally an alpha test of a beta test game... how awesome is that. Anways there are still some issues that will arise from this as I have a rotating IP so every time my router restarts my ip changes... sigh... but for now the ip is:

Since this forum is public, it might be an idea to create a whitelist of usernames?

Just jumped in there. Got some serious lag. A friend of mine is running a server and is getting the same sort of thing happening.

I thought it would be quite laggy as its only running of my broadband connection... It's only a test to see if we cant speed it up a bit...

I'm getting BT Infinity at the start of April, which has 30mb down and 6mb up. Might try running a server on that

I joined the server just there now and already creepers are raining down on me

The server is going to be down for a few days while I try to increase performance on my PC and maybe upgrade a few "Essential" parts

I had a great 14 hour session of minecraft yesterday... oh how my beautiful "Fort" is coming along. Once it is completely complete than I shall put it on the server for all to see

Had a little bit of fun today on Minecraft and decided to create the Glitch Logo Only on a small basis cause it needed to fit in my "Fort's" workshop

Now I need some ideas on what I should create. Any suggestions?

build a huge roller coaster or an underwater path that will lead you to different parts of the map or build something from a game, like me I'm building Rapture

I am thinking I might build something a little bit more crazy... like a starship or something...

you're not suggesting that you might build something like the destiny are you?
